Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nContinuous Improvement Specialist__\nYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will also showcase your skills by deploying and leading projects to improve and sustain local business performance.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in Mebane, NC. Main stakeholders are operations, warehouse and procurement.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nCoordinate the flow of raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.\nMonitor inventory levels and collaborate with Procurement, Production Planning, and Warehouse teams to prevent material shortages or excess inventory.\nManage continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kanban, and other operational excellence methodologies.\nCollaborate with Logistics and Supply Chain teams to improve receiving, storage, and shipping processes.\nInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, material shortages, and process bottlenecks.\nCreate and track KPIs related to inventory accuracy, material availability, cycle times, and warehouse performance.\nEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and company operational standards.\nQualifications for the role\nBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field.\n3+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, materials management, or supply chain.\nGood understanding of inventory control, material planning, and warehouse operations.\nExperience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kanban, Just-in-Time (JIT), and continuous improvement methodologies.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.\nSolid structured and problem-solving abilities.\nEffective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nAbility to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a busy environment.\nKnowledge of material handling equipment, logistics processes, and warehouse best practices.\nCandidates have work authorization to work in the US.\nMore about us\nABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while making the grid more reliable.
