Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nProduction Supervisor__\nIn this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning and management of inventory, ensuring an efficient flow from purchase requisition through to customer invoicing and delivery execution. A strong focus will be placed on planning activities, including order portfolio management, inventory optimization, replenishment strategies, and the definition of inventory parameters and targets to guarantee material availability and service level performance. The work model for the role is hybrid.\nThis role is contributing to the IPU Buy & Sell in Quartino, Switzerland. Main stakeholders are the P&F, OP&L, Logistics, Quartino IPUs. You will be mainly accountable for:\nDefining inventory policies based on specified segmentation, including ABC/XYZ analysis to optimize inventory strategies, stock levels, and service performance in terms of ROTD.\n\nCalculating and maintaining the inventory parameters, including safety stock, reorder point, lot size, lead time, and replenishment strategies, in SAP.\n\nCoordinating material planning with call-offs to ensure that purchase requisitions are converted into purchase orders in collaboration with operations, buyers, and services.\n\nCollaborating with buyers to achieve the best possible supplier performance in terms of supplier on-time delivery, Minimum Order Quantity, quality, lead time, and flexibility.\n\nDemonstrating solid knowledge of logistics flows and operational dynamics to ensure efficient material availability, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain coordination.\n\nQualifications for the role:\n+5 years of experience in material planning.\n\nDegree in Management Engineering as a preferred qualification.\n\nGood skills in data analysis, structured thinking, teamwork, and communication.\n\nProfound knowledge in SAP MM/PP, MS Excel, and Power BI.\n\nFluency in Italian and English.\n\nMore about us:\nABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
