Whether improving material flows, redesigning the plant layout, implementing new equipment, or contributing to an ERP deployment, you will be at the heart of the projects that will shape our future growth.\nReporting to the Operations Director, you will play a strategic role in optimizing our manufacturing operations and supporting the company’s growth. You will be responsible for improving material flows, optimizing production space layouts, implementing new equipment, and deploying management systems that enhance operational efficiency.\nWorking closely with the Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, you will contribute to developing a high-performing, safe, and future-ready manufacturing facility.\nThis role contributes to ABB Canada’s Electrification, Installation Products division and is based in Montreal.\nThe work model is 100% onsite.\nResponsibilities\nAnalyze and optimize material flows, movements, and operational organization to improve productivity and reduce waste.\nDesign and implement plant layout projects, including the reconfiguration of production, storage, and internal logistics areas.\nLead the acquisition, installation, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and operational objectives.\nActively participate in the implementation and improvement of ERP systems and other integrated management tools to optimize manufacturing processes and operational data management.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.\nMinimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing engineering or operations improvement role within an industrial environment.\nDemonstrated experience in production flow optimization, plant layout, and continuous improvement.\nHands-on experience planning and implementing manufacturing equipment or automation projects.\nExperience participating in the implementation or improvement of an ERP system in a manufacturing environment.\nStrong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and problem-solving tools.\nBilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.
