Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nContinuous Improvement Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities (Mandatory)\nThe person in this position will trouble-shoot and develop a plan of action and then repair injection and compression molds and progressive dies. This person must have the ability to retain the knowledge required for mold changeovers. They are expected to work safely and keep up 5S in their work areas.\nThe work model for the role is on-site in Portland, TN.\nMajor Responsibilities/Activities:\nPerform general preventative maintenance on injection molds as assigned.\nPerform general repairs to injection molds associated with defects identified by manufacturing or quality.\nTransport injection molds safely with electric pallet jack.\nPeriodically welding of mold components to repair or improve the function of an injection mold.\nMake minor repairs to molds in presses such as polishing gates, component details, and/or remove stuck parts.\nConduct mold changeovers in a timely manner by retrieving and storing inserts.\nSupport any other responsibilities as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma/GED\nMust have the ability to learn and understand the basic operation of molds and how to repair, include replacement components, and fitting of components.\nMust have the ability and desire to grow skills associated with mold maintenance.\nMust have the ability to stay focused on the task at hand.\nFamiliarity with power tools a plus.\nAbility to retain knowledge of mold changeovers.\nTig welding experience a plus.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTechnical education\nCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.\nWe value people from different backgrounds.
