Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThe P2P Tactical Buyer is responsible for executing daily purchasing activities to ensure material availability and support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The role focuses on purchase order management, supplier expediting, delivery performance monitoring, and resolution of operational purchasing issues within the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process.\nWorking closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, the P2P Tactical Buyer proactively identifies supply risks, manages overdue purchase orders, and ensures timely delivery of materials in accordance with production requirements, inventory policies, and procurement procedures.\nThis position supports ABB Canada's Automation, Measurement & Analytics division and is based in Québec city (3400 Rue Pierre-Ardouin in Quebec, Quebec). The work model is hybrid, with three days per week on site. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.\nResponsibilities\nPurchase Order Management: Convert approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders in SAP, ensure their accuracy and timely updates, and maintain compliance with established procedures and deadlines.\nSupplier Follow-Up and Delivery Expediting: Follow up with suppliers, expedite overdue or critical orders, and coordinate corrective actions to ensure reliable and timely deliveries.\nMaterial Availability and Production Continuity: Monitor material requirements, anticipate potential shortages, and prioritize urgent orders in collaboration with planning teams to prevent production disruptions.\nSAP and Master Data Accuracy: Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase orders, supplier confirmations, and delivery schedules in SAP while ensuring procurement transaction compliance and traceability.\nInvoice Discrepancy Resolution and P2P Process Support: Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve invoice discrepancies, purchase order and goods receipt issues, and facilitate timely invoice processing.\nStakeholder Management and Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with internal teams to communicate supply risks, ensure issues are tracked through resolution, and contribute to improvements in procurement processes, SAP data quality, and operational performance.\nQualifications\nAttestation of College Studies (A.E.C.) in Procurement, or Diploma of College Studies (D.E.C.) in Administration or a related field, combined with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools.\nExperience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).\nBilingual (French & English); English required to communicate with global suppliers and stakeholders outside Québec.\nRequired Competencies\nStrong sense of urgency and ownership.\nExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail.\nProactive supplier follow-up and effective communication.\nStrong prioritization and problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to manage a high volume of purchase orders and competing priorities.\nAbility to identify supply risks and escalate issues appropriately.\nAnalytical mindset with a focus on data accuracy and operational performance.\nCollaborative approach and customer-service orientation.\nThis job posting is also available in French under the title [Technicien(ne) en approvisionnement].\nEmployment Equity & Inclusion Statement (Canada)\nABB values the dedication, commitment, and expertise of all our employees.
