Make it your story.\nYour role and responsibilities:\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure assigned purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will be the interface between Procurement and Engineering teams to use your skills by identifying new suppliers to optimize engineering cost, quality, and technology.\nThe work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite\nThe role will support for the Electrification Smart Power Business, for Power Enclosures and will be based at PEENYA Bangalore, India.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nDevelop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring suppliers meet current and future requirements for capacity, quality, delivery, and sustainability.\nOversee purchasing, logistics, and local sourcing initiatives to optimize costs, improve supply chain efficiency, and help meet business targets.\nEvaluate suppliers, analyze bids, negotiate commercial agreements, and periodically review pricing, terms, and conditions to ensure competitive value and compliance with company policies.\nOptimize product and project costs, including investment and testing expenses, while meeting defined quality standards and cost targets.\nManage end-to-end procurement activities, including purchase orders, supplier delivery tracking, performance monitoring, budget planning, spending analysis, and savings forecasts, in accordance with established procurement processes.\nQualifications for the role:\nDegree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline, with solid experience in procurement and sourcing.\n8-10 years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, and supplier management.\nKnowledge of Low Voltage (LV) switchboards.\nProficiency in SAP modules relevant to procurement and purchasing.\nSolid skills in procurement planning, cost budgeting, expenditure tracking, and savings forecasting.\nExperience in creating and managing Purchase Orders (POs) based on purchase requisitions and established procurement procedures.\nAbility to coordinate with suppliers, confirm deliveries, monitor supplier performance against PO requirements, and communicate effectively in English and Hindi.\nMore about us:\nABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
