Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis Position reports to:\nProcurement Team LeadYour role and responsibilities:\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Electrification Business Smart Power Division in Hyderabad, India.\n You will be mainly accountable for:\nCoordinates all procurement activities for Research and Development (R&D) projects.\nResponsible for estimating initial cost and quality, and achieving product cost and quality targets.\nResponsible for contracts negotiations and order finalization for Equipment and Software for Opex and Capex requirements.\nWorks to find new potential materials or new potential suppliers for R&D requirements.\nSelects suppliers, with the support of business, in line with product cost requirements, future product footprint requirements, and procurement strategies, while ensuring sustainable quality and cost. On boarding the new suppliers into system\nConverting the Purchase requests to order and ensuring on-time delivery of the material / services by coordinating with the suppliers for each project, in alignment with the critical project development and testing plan.\nWorks to optimize the cost at all stages of the procurement.\nSupports the development of new lower cost suppliers to meet the level required for sustainable quality and on-time delivery.\nQualifications for the role:\nBachelor’s Degree in commerce / science\n7 years of experience in Engineering Procurement\nGood SAP HANA and MS-Excel Knowledge.\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nGood analytical and interpersonal skills\nExperience in procurement of electromechanical components or manufacturing industry background will be an added advantage\nMore about us :\nABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
