Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nSenior Engineering Manager__\nYour Role and Responsibilities\nPlanning, managing, applying and maintaining of certifications of electric drives and power converters.\nActing as an expert in certifications, regulations and standards in the defined compliance areas.\nTransfer the product standards requirements into the R&D community to guide the design fulfill the corresponding standards.\nRisk assessments, type test planning, certifications; communication with authorities, factory audits and providing support for e.g. designers and customers.\nReview the R&D design output from product compliance requirement aspect, guide the design to correct direction if conflicting with required standards.\nWork with design engineers to prepare the needed technical and quality documents for 3rd party certification body.\nLead the communication with 3rd party certificate body for the target product certificate, both product certificate progress communication and technical communication.\nSupport internal and external customers on product compliance area. \nWork as a friendly and proactive member in R&D organization.\nQualifications for the Role\nBachelor or Master degree from Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation or related area, have agile development environment working experience is a plus.\nSound knowledge of compliance requirements and processes in some of the various compliance areas e.g. electrical safety, EMC or radio approvals. Ability to combine same test item with different requirements from different standards, and guide R&D project team to implement tests accordingly.\nKnowledge of electric drives, power converters or radio equipment, and of quality management systems.\nSpontaneous, practical, and precise approach to work, quality process orientation\nExcellent written and spoken communication skills, able to act as respresentive of the project team to communicate with 3rd party certificate body.\nKnowledge on testing related work in low voltage power module, related actual experience is preferred.\nFamiliar with testing and corresponding testing instruments.\nFluent in English, positive attitude and a team player.\nMore about us\nABB Drive Products serves the industries and infrastructure segments with world-class drives and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
