Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nGlobal BL Quality & Lifecycle Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\nAs new industries turn to electrification, it is more vital than ever that we can support ABB’s customers with their new challenges and ensure that our Low Voltage System Drives products meet emerging requirements. That is why we are establishing a new role of Product Lifecycle Manager in our Quality & Lifecycle organization.\nIn this role, you will ensure that learnings from field performance and reliability testing reach all needed stakeholders for example in product management, R&D and sales. You will also analyze the effects of planned changes or new products on the existing technical offering and customer installed base. The target is to fully leverage accumulated product performance data to support business growth.\nThis role is contributing to ABB’s Low Voltage System Drives business line in Motion High Power division. You will work in close collaboration with stakeholders from division’s Product Management, Product Engineering, R&D and Service.\nThis is a global role but location is set to be one of these: Finland (Helsinki), China (Beijing), Germany (Mannheim), USA (New Berlin, WI) or India (Bangalore). The work model for the role is: hybrid, #LI-Hybrid\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nInitial phase: Developing a new process, related documentation (reports, dashboards) and meeting practices to support efficient product lifecycle decision making and a learning organization\nOverseeing the process and ensuring execution of related tasks with stakeholders\nCoordinating and conducting change impact analysis of additions, enhancements or simplifications of the existing product portfolio\nFacilitating continuous improvements along with the execution of lifecycle changes\nManaging global projects, involving stakeholders from various functions and local units\nQualifications for the role \n\n10+ years of experience on product engineering, product management, portfolio management, R&D or similar area.\n5+ years experience in leading people with or without line manager authority\nM.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in electrical /electronics engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent\nExperience on process development is a benefit\nExperience on frequency converters is an asset\nYou enjoy taking on new challenges and working with people across different functions, perspectives, and backgrounds to move ideas forward. \nReadiness for international travel, estimated 15% of work time\n More about us\nABB High Power division is the market leader in high-power, high-performance drives, drive systems and packages for industrial process and large infrastructure applications, and a leading supplier of power conversion equipment for renewable energy and other applications.
