Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nOperations Manager, Finland__\nWe are looking for a Production Development Manager to join us at ABB, Motion High Power division, Business Line Low Voltage System Drives in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki.\nIn this role you will be responsible for production development in Operations team. You will lead planning, management and execution of the production development portfolio. You will lead successful production investments and development projects. You will drive innovation in our production footprint and process landscape by implementing automation improvements and new production technologies. You will ensure productivity improvement and continuous development by using LEAN principles. You place safety first and your ambition is to make quality happen. You will exceed expectations with seamless co-operation and collaboration with key stakeholders.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nLeading and managing our production development portfolio\nRelentless execution of the key production development projects in collaboration with Operations team and key stakeholders.\nDriving innovation in our production footprint and process landscape by implementing automation improvements and new production technologies\nEnsuring productivity improvement with development activities\nChampioning a culture of continuous improvement by deploying LEAN principles\nEnsuring that health, safety and environment requirements and targets are met\nQualifications of the role\nSeveral years of experience in production development management or production management role\nExperience and knowledge of frequency converters production or similar power electronics production\nYou are passionate about challenging the status quo and have a demonstrated track record of operational performance improvement from a line manager role\nExperience in executing Lean principles are essential\nTeam player skills and proven leadership capabilities with good customer-oriented mindset are essential\nGreat collaboration and communication skills\nThe ability to build new ways of working and change management, as well as work in multinational teams in a matrix organization\nB.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Operations management or other relevant field\nFluent English and Finnish language skills\nMore about us\nABB High Power division is the market leader in high-power, high-performance drives, drive systems and packages for industrial process and large infrastructure applications, and a leading supplier of power conversion equipment for renewable energy and other applications.
