Join us and help run what runs the world.\nYour role and responsibilities Working as a Project Engineer, you will be the responsible engineer for high-power electrical systems in mine grinding applications. You will lead the engineering of MV drives, motors, transformers, and control cabinets, and provide technical expertise across the project lifecycle - from design through commissioning. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and customers to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient grinding solutions. This role will require travel. The work model for the role is: remote Your responsibilities :\nCreate the engineering design concept and definition based on standard templates. Evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform engineering assignments. Review and approve designdeliverables and act as the technical lead with the client.\nDesign and engineer high-power systems including MV drives, motors,transformers, and associated electrical infrastructure for grinding applications inmining environments.\nDevelop and review control cabinet designs, interface schematics, and electricallayouts ensuring compliance with applicable standards and safety requirements.\nProvide technical support for ABB MV Drives and Motors installed in grindingcircuits, both on-site and remotely, on surface and underground operations.\nPrepare technical documentation such as engineering drawings, specifications,FAT/SAT procedures, and commissioning reports.\nAct as a technical point of contact for customers on grinding system performance,advising on optimization, maintenance strategies, and upgrades.\nDomestic and International travel will be required, as the role will require hands-onsupport at customer sites.\nLiving ABB's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibilityfor your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.\nQualifications for the role\nA bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field.\nMember of the OIQ or another provincial professional association with 3 to 8 yearsof relevant project experience.\nProven experience engineering high-power systems including MV/LV drives,motors, transformers, and power electronics.• Hands-on experience with ABB MV Drives and Motors is strongly preferred.\nExperience designing control cabinets, interface panels, and electrical schematics in accordance with relevant standards (IEC, CSA, or equivalent).\nFamiliarity with industrial automation systems including PLCs and/or DCS wouldbe an asset.\nValid driver's license and passport are required; availability for domestic andinternational travel (up to 30-40%).\nExcellent communication skills in English; bilingual (French/English) is an asset.\nGuidelines:\nPlease be aware:\nAll fields in yellow should be populated with relevant information (based on Job description and the Kick-off form).
