Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nManager, Business Segment__\nYour Role and Responsibilities\nWe are looking for a new Project Manager - Upgrade Projects, to join our team at ABB Oy, Energy Industries in Vaasa. In this role, you will be accountable for and lead the execution of automation upgrade projects within our Engine Power business segment.\nYou will oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation through implementation. As a Project Manager, you monitor and control project progress, ensure efficient use of resources, and serve as the technical lead for your projects. You are accountable for project financials and ensure timely and accurate execution of commercial aspects of contracts. You communicate the project goals and plans internally and externally and act as the project key contact for the customer. You’ll be working as a part of the Project Management Office team (PMO) together with supportive teammates and colleagues.\nThe role includes limited travel, 0-10 days annually. The role location is Vaasa, Finland.\nReporting to the Manager of the Project Management Office, you will maintain and enhance customer satisfaction by ensuring that customer requirements and all targets are met, providing excellent customer service at every stage of the project\nThe work model for this role is hybrid, #Li-Hybrid\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nLeading the project team by allocating project tasks, motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish project tasks and milestones\nDefining and maintaining project plan documents, including scope, financial plans, and time schedules\nMonitoring projects to ensure best practices in cost control, resource efficiency and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)\nAnalyzing and addressing project risks and opportunities, and regularly communicating lessons learned\nCollaborating with other functions to reach project and business goals, while building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders\nQualifications for the Role\nB.Sc. or M.Sc. degree from a relevant field, such as automation engineering or equivalent\nSeveral years of experience in working with technical project execution, ideally within the Energy sector\nReadiness to take the next career step into project management\nSolid technical understanding, including experience with PLC and HMI\nResult oriented mindset with capability in managing project scope, cost, and schedules\nA collaborative, solution-focused approach to work and ability to lead yourself\nStrong English and Swedish or Finnish skills, both written and spoken\nBenefits\nOur culture and benefits reflect our values: courage, care, curiosity and collaboration.
