Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are executed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications and targets. You will also showcase your experience by leading the project team members to satisfy project requirements, deliver contracted deliverables, and meet the planned project result.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-onsite\nThis role is contributing to our NAM Electrification Distribution Solutions Operation in Pinetops, North Carolina.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nDevelop and analyze project execution, KPI monitoring of project and ensure Consistent project execution across teams in factory.\nPrioritize actions based on strategic alignment, value, and resource capacity. Ensure that leadership has clear visibility to make informed investments decision and project progress.\nDeveloping an execution plan with a clear delivery, design, test & user documentation, product cost estimates, risk mitigation techniques, and operating procedures are fully implemented and effectively executed, including high quality reporting on projects status.\nDevelop framework for leaders to work collaboratively with cross-functional departments and team members including Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain Management, Laboratory, Technical Services, Operations, and Quality Control\nImplement and maintain project management tools, follow up teams to use them consistently, and automate reporting, workflows, and documentation.\nShare executive summary with operational excellence, factory management, R&D leadership and product management periodically.\nQualifications for the role\nBachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree is required), master’s degree, with a minimum of 12-14 years (10+ years in case of master’s degree) of experience in project management and engineering management of electrical power systems product development environment. \nDirect experience in the electrical/mechanical industry with project management in product development, project team management in a factory operations environment or in a power utility.\nPossess solid project management skills with demonstrated capability to meet project deadlines and deliver the results. \nPM certification as well as experience in managing stage-gate projects using waterfall project methodology; additional experience using Agile product development methodology. \nSolid people management or supervisory experience.\nAbility to travel domestically and internationally.\nCandidates already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.\nWhat's in it for you\nWe want you to bring your full self to work-your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
