Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThe ABB Measurement & Analytics plant in Quebec is a global leader in the field of spectroscopy. Our contract engineering department is the largest Canadian supplier of space-borne optical sensors used, among other things, for monitoring greenhouse gas emissions and for global weather forecasting. Our plant is also recognized for its expertise in developing and manufacturing various products that meet a wide range of daily industrial analysis needs.\nIn this role, you will act as a project planner within a multidisciplinary research and development team. This team is responsible for analyzing, designing, executing, and integrating solutions for clients such as the Canadian Space Agency, as well as for our measurement and analysis products.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop project schedules, including preparing work packages, task sequencing and duration, milestone planning, determining the critical path, and optimizing resources.\n\nObtain the information required for schedule updates and keep schedules up to date. Manage project timelines and optimize schedules based on received information.\n\nPerform budget tracking for projects. Control approved budgets in SAP versus the costs captured in Primavera.\n\nAnalyze project progress and variances compared to the approved baseline, and assess schedule risks. Propose corrective actions and adjust schedules accordingly.\n\nIdentify potential resource conflicts between different projects and propose optimal resource allocation.\n\nManage change requests and consolidate and analyze project indicators.\n\nPrepare and analyze short-, medium-, and long-term revenue and expense forecasts.\n\nSupport the project manager and project team in detailed and strategic project planning.\n\nEnsure the entry of timesheets.\n\nContribute to the continuous improvement of the Project Management process and its tools.\n\nQualifications\nCollege diploma in administration with relevant experience.\n\n5 years of experience in project scheduling (MS Project or Primavera) and in project cost control.\n\nGood knowledge of Word and Excel, Microsoft Office suite.\n\nGood knowledge of SAP and contractual terms (asset).\n\nRigorous and detail-oriented.\n\nStrong time-management and organizational skills.\n\nAutonomous and adaptable.\n\nBilingual (French/English). French is required.
