Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nQuality Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\nJob Summary: The person in this position is responsible for performing product testing, including floor and lab, using various types of testing equipment to ensure the parts being produced meets quality standards. This person will perform daily audits and prepare reports as needed. They will be responsible for rechecking reworked parts to ensure they meet quality standards. They will work closely with Team Leaders and Supervisors to provide Quality Control Training and direction, writing quality procedures and/or update current standards as required. This person will support process improvement initiatives using LEAN manufacturing principles in an effort to eliminate waste.\nThe work model for the role is onsite in Portland, TN.\nThis role is contributing to the success of the ABB Installation Products, Portland, TN location.\nMajor Responsibilities/Activities\nMaintain the Production Floor Activities concerning Quality\nPerform daily audits/Military audits\nTesting including floor checks and lab testing\nUse of micrometers and calipers\nCalibration program\nDocumentation control\nData entry and reporting\nRechecking reworked parts\nQC Training classes\nWriting quality procedures\nControl plans\nSpecial projects\nBasic Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma/GED\nBasic Math skills\nComputer skills a must - Email, Excel, Microsoft Work, Access\nMinimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing environment\nMinimum 5 years’ hands on experience in Quality Control or specific skills and characteristics that would be relevant for this role\nMay be required to work alternate shifts as business needs require as well as perform other duties as assigned.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nLX, TOPS experience\nAdditional Comments: Must have exceptional interpersonal skills, self-starter and highly motivated.
