The Division’s ABB Ability™ Energy Manager provides a scalable, easy-to-use platform that helps organizations save energy and reduce CO2 emissions.\nThe work model for the role is: Remote {#LI-Remote}\n40% travel requirement for customer visits and project support. \nYour role and responsibilities:\nServe as ABB’s primary customer contact for quality and technical issues, leading communications, onsite support, action plans, and resolution timelines.\nAct as the technical and design authority for engineering deliverables on moderate- to high-complexity projects.\nReview and approve designs, perform verification and peer reviews, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, contractual, and as-built documentation requirements.\nIdentify and resolve technical challenges while communicating product gaps, customer needs, and market trends to commercial and product management teams.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, testing, commissioning, service, supply chain, sales, and product management to ensure successful project execution.\nManage multiple concurrent projects, including work plans, cost estimates, RFQs, supplier evaluations, project meetings, contract variations, and timely delivery of engineering outputs.\nQualifications for the role:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or (related field) with 7+ years’ experience in electrical distribution or power systems; Master’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in electrical distribution or power systems.\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in English (written and spoken).\nProficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, and ability to leverage AI tools in job functions.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision.\nCapability to establish and nurture partnership relationships with ABB Product management, engineering, and service.\nCandidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nPE Certification\nExperience with LV/MV UPS systems, batteries, static transfer switches, power conditioning, PDUs, and ATS.\nFamiliarity with industry codes and standards (ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL).\nLean Six Sigma Certification\nPrevious field, factory, or design engineering experience in data centers, hospitals, or industrial facilities.\nWhat's in it for you\nWe want you to bring your full self to work-your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
