Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThe Quality Engineer will serve as both a technical design authority and a customer-facing lead for ABB Critical Power projects. This role combines engineering responsibilities with commercial customer engagement to ensure successful project delivery and resolution of customer quality issues. Utilizing management skills, technical understanding of products, and communication skills to lead the ABB service, engineering, factory, and product management to solve and resolve customer quality issues.\nThe work model for the role is: Hybrid \nThis role is contributing to the: ELSP critical power\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nAct as ABB’s primary point of contact for customers experiencing quality or technical issues.\nLead communications and provide documented updates on issue resolution progress.\nConduct onsite visits as needed and maintain strong customer relationships.\nServe as technical resource for resolving quality issues, including creating action plans and timelines.\nCommunicate product improvements and market trends to commercial and product management leadership.\nEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and contractual standards, anticipate challenges, applying learnt concepts and methods.\nCollaborate with product management, engineering, factory, service, and supply chain teams.\nParticipate in project meetings, kick-off sessions, and design freeze reviews.\nManage multiple concurrent projects and maintain accountability for results\n Qualifications for the role:\nB.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 8+ years of experience in electrical distribution or power systems; \nStrong interpersonal and communication \nProficiency in MS Office, MS Teams, and ability to leverage AI tools in job functions.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision.\nCapability to establish and nurture partnership relationships with ABB Product management, engineering, and service.\nExperience with LV/MV UPS systems, batteries, static transfer switches, power conditioning, PDUs, and ATS.\nFamiliarity with industry codes and standards (ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, NFPA 70E, UL).\nPrevious field, factory, or design engineering experience in data centers, hospitals, or industrial facilities.\nAbility to travel approximately 25% for customer visits and project support.\nWhy choose ABB?\nWe empower you to take initiative, challenge ideas, and lead with confidence.
