Make it your story.\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to assistthe Quality team in implementing and maintaininga quality system, including conducting audits, establishingcontrols, training ontools and methodologies. Each day, you will support activities related to quality management within the organizational unit. You will also showcaseyour expertiseby reporting quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer cases and maintainingprocess documentation.\nCORE RESPONSIBILITIES\nSupports activities related to quality management within localorganizational unit.\n\nExecutes and assiststhe local organization with quality content, tools, and systems.\n\nSupports quality assurance activities in collaboration with local Production, Engineering, and other relevant functions.\n\nReports quality issues data, ensuring adherence to quality management system at all stages.\n\nAcquiresand reportsquality metrics and KPIs accurately and in a timely mannerto facilitatethe analysis and management of local processes.\n\nUtilizes measurement systems to produce data that reflectthe accuratecharacteristics of materials, products, systems, and processes.\n\nPerforms assigned tasks in a safe manner, setting an example for others to exercise safety in their daily activities.\n\nTrains local operational teams on relevant elements of quality management, supports implementation, and promotes opportunities for improvement.\n\nProvides feedback to work teams based on inputs from their internal and external customers, promoting alignment between process output and customer expectations.\n\nLICENSE TO OPERATE / CORE VALUES\nDemonstrates ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly.\n\nImplements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.\n\nEnsures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies.\n\nEnsures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.\n\nDemonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, conceptapplication, reporting, and risks.\n\nConducts routine audits to ensure the compliance of processes or products with established processes, procedures, standards, and specifications.\n\nCOLLABORATION / LEADERSHIP\nEnsures adherence to the collaboration objectivesof the team to maximize results for ABB.\n\nLeadstheir own development journey by seeking knowledge and learning opportunities within the team.\n\nManages relationships with stakeholders in their own area of responsibility and ensures alignment.\n\nLeads small work teams in the documentation of their processes and the implementation of quality controls to ensure consistent and predictable results.\n\nMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED\n2+ years of working in a manufacturing environment\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\n\nLegal authorization to work in the US is required\n\nKnowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.\n\nAbility to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed\n\nAbility to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs\n\nWORKING CONDITIONS \nManufacturing plant environment requiring a combination of hands-on and technical tasks. Work may involve occasional lifting of materials, climbing stairs/ladders, and walking. Employees may be requiredto bend, twist, or stand for extended periods.\nFrequent use of computers is necessary for data entry, monitoring, and communication. Employees will also handle a variety of tools and equipment, from hand tools to machinery, requiring technical skills and adherence to safety protocols.\nPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed shoes, is required to ensure a safe working environment.
