Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis Position reports to:\nQuality ManagerYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will ensure adherence to quality standard for a local organizational unit, including quality culture, systems, tools, and collaboration with team with the aim to achieve and exceed customer expectations, while ensuring sustainable operations. Each day, you will assist the organization in achieving the right mix of prevention, continuous improvement, robust root cause analysis, quick response, and sustainable solutions to problems. You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating by bridging the requirements between local functions and suppliers that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI_Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Motion business for Traction division based at Vadodara, India:\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nSupporting specific communication relevant to quality management in your area of responsibility.\nAssisting in continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management in the local organization and at supplier end.\nUsing quality data analytics from the organization to identify risks, failures, non-conformances & monitor the supplier performance and provide appropriate solutions to maintain required quality performances.\nFacilitating resolution of quality incidences by following a robust root cause analysis and implementing preventive and corrective actions.\nPerform First Article Inspection (FAI) as per quality plan, verify and approve quality documents related to supplier.\nQualifications for the role\n5 to 8 years of experience in quality/supplier quality, customer quality.\nFull time engineering in Mechanical background.\nKnowledge of drawings, test standards, calibration and measuring instruments. \nEnsures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.\nKnowledge of Supplier qualification, product qualification, PPAP and quality plan. \nMore about us\nABB Traction Division is a recognized leader in onboard propulsion technologies that drive innovation in rail, bus, and industrial vehicle electrification.
