You will also showcase your expertise by collaborating with local functions that impact the quality results to reach the targets for the organizational unit and aim for world-class performance.\nThe work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nUnderstand and deploy customer-specific quality requirements across projects, ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards and specifications.\nDrive quality assurance and inspections for electrical equipment, including transformers, AIS/GIS switchgear, RMUs, protection relays, battery chargers, battery systems, UPS, control panels, and E-House solutions\nMonitor and improve the quality performance of third-party suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure compliance with project requirements.\nConduct supplier audits and factory inspections, and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) activities.\nEnsure quality compliance during the fabrication and assembly of containerized and E-House solutions. Manage customer complaints, lead root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance customer satisfaction. Support onsite quality activities and collaborate with project teams throughout project execution and commissioning.\nQualifications for the role\nDegree in Electrical Engineering (should be full-time)\nMinimum 5 to 8 years of experience in quality management within electrical, power distribution, data center, or industrial infrastructure projects.\nStrong technical knowledge of transformers, AIS/GIS/RMU products, protection relays, battery systems, and related power distribution equipment.\nExperience in supplier quality management, quality audits, Non-Conformance Report (NCR) management, and customer complaint resolution\nWorking knowledge of ISO 9001, quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), along with applicable IS/IEC standards.\nWillingness to travel to supplier facilities and project sites, with strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.\n More about us\nABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid.
