Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nR&D Early Career Program Manager__\nAbout the program\nThe ABB R&D Early Career Program is a two-year rotational program designed to develop technical problem-solving skills and leadership through advanced engineering courses and technical projects aligned with business objectives.\nParticipants begin with a July orientation, then complete four 6-month rotations within ABB's Electrification business area, focusing on roles such as continuous improvement, R&D, new product development, and manufacturing support across various locations.\nThe program includes over 150 hours of specialized training, with two accredited classes at top engineering schools. A dedicated program manager guides participants, and the program culminates in a capstone project and presentation.\nYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support business, collaborate with different teams, and contribute to the company's strategic objectives. Each day, you will gain knowledge by performing tasks as directed by the program manager/corresponding leader. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and participating in the local Trainee Program.\nThe work model for the role is: Onsite\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nCompleting a rotational program with the ABB Electrification business, rotating across R&D teams, with potential to rotate through a related function.\nContributing to pioneering R&D efforts by developing and testing new engineering solutions, gaining hands-on experience with innovative technologies and advancing ABB’s research objectives.\nParticipating in formal training to develop technical, functional, professional and leadership skills in preparation for future roles.\nDelivering the assigned tasks/projects within the assignment period.\nQualifications for the role\nYou are currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering degree and will graduate between December 2026 and June 2026 or hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree with no more than 2 years of experience (internships are considered as experience).\nYou enjoy solving technical problems and developing products and solutions.\nYou have a desire to learn and grow from a diverse set of experiences and people.\nYou foster a growth mindset, focusing on continual learning and improvement.\nYou are excited to explore living/working in different parts of MX or US or globally.
