Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your skills by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.\nThe work model for the role is onsite/hybrid in Bloomfield, CT.\nPlease note that no relocation assistance or stipend will be offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location. Candidates are expected to manage their own commuting arrangements.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nCollaborating with various teams to support ABB’s operations, ensuring effective coordination and timely project completion within the defined timelines.\nLeveraging insights about customer needs and ABB’s offerings to identify suitable solutions for clients, leading to project results that meet customer expectations.\nParticipating in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts.\nSeeking feedback and guidance from manager and team members to improve performance and skills.\nAnalyzes opportunities for short term product enhancement, medium term product development, and longer-term technology developments.\nDemonstrates solid technical proficiency in own competence area by performing a variety of technology/engineering assignments, mainly in research and development (R&D) projects, which demonstrates independent ability to recognize problems and provide input to solutions.\n Maintains awareness of state-of-art technology, as well as ABB products and technologies, and identifies and understands technical drivers for R&D projects in own area.\nQualifications for the role:\nCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's or master’s degree program in Electrical Engineering in the United States.\nExperience with embedded C or C++\nExperience with Python\nIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.\nUtilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.\nEffectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.\nExhibit the capability to manage several tasks at once while maintaining high standards of quality.\nCollaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.\nWhy ABB?\nWhat's in it for you\nWe want you to bring your full self to work-your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
