In this position, you will execute product development tasks using your technical expertise.\nEveryday, you will perform a variety of technology/engineering assignments, recognizing problems and providing input on solutions.\nWork model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid.\nIn this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:\nKeeping up to date with strategic plans and performing activities in line with the current direction.\n\nDocumenting work and contributing to written reports.\n\nContributing your own creative ideas to R&D projects and proposing follow-up activities based on project results.\n\nGathering information about ABB products and technologies and developing an understanding of technical drivers and customer value.\n\nProviding consulting services to business operations and customers.\n\nParticipating in working teams and offering assistance to co-workers, as well as consulting team members and colleagues to gain information and knowledge.\n\nWorking to recognize the importance of intellectual property in industry and the advantage of ABB's patents relevant to your own area of research, as well as to grasp risk management in R&D projects.\n\nQualifications for the role\nYou are highly skilled in knowledge of electricity and its effects (thermal, dielectric, mechanical stresses) mechanical/material engineering and the electrical and/or mechanical market.\n\nYou have 2-5 years of experience in electromechanical engineering, working/studying preferably as designer/engineer with electromechanical products.\n\nPossess an enhanced knowledge 2D CAD and 3D CAD system (preferably SolidWorks). Reading capability of simple electrical diagram.
