You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.\nThe work model for the role is:#Li-Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India.\n You will be mainly accountable for:\nWorking as an independent and reliable contributor in R&D projects with limited supervision.\nPerforming various tasks in the assigned area (e.g., mechanics, electronics, thermal, software), from building concepts, gathering requirements to designing, implementing, integrating, testing, technology transfer or maintenance, and operations.\nUnderstanding and applying applicable processes, standards, guidelines, and requirements, including architectural and design constraints.\nDriving the achievement of assigned targets (quality, time, scope, cost) and raising and addressing risks.\n Qualifications for the role\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering (should be full-time)\n\nMinimum 4 to 8 years of experience in Design and Development of Mechanical Parts and Assemblies (Sheet-Metal components, Casted & Machined Metal parts and Molded Plastic parts)\n\nHands-on experience in prototyping, type testing, and interpreting technical drawings.\n\nProficiency in SolidWorks or Creo 3D CAD software.\n\nStrong technical knowledge of Medium Voltage Switchgear (AIS / GIS / RMU).\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills in English\n\nMore about us\nABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid.
