You will also showcase your expertise by participating in cost reduction and coordination with other technical teams within our Critical Power business. \nThe work model for the role is: hybrid\nThis role is contributing to the ELSP Critical Power agile unitin Richmond, VA.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nContributing independently to the mechanical design deliverables (design and documentation) required for the development of new or enhanced models of power protection equipment.\nWorking with others cross-functionally to deliver designs in a timely manner with high-quality deliverables that meet customer expectations and project requirements.\nContributing to design reviews and verification following the established design review process, providing feedback on designs and making modifications\nDesigning and releasing mechanical prototypes, supporting the fabrication of those prototypes, and leading the improvement process following prototype fabrication\nLeading product design improvement opportunities to reduce product cost\nConverting conceptual designs into engineering documentation and maintain existing products..\n Job Qualifications\nA Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar with 5+ years of experience\nKnowledge of solid modeling CAD design software (Solidworks, etc.) required\nExperience with PLM software a plus\nKnowledge sheet metal design, detail part drawings, assembly drawings, and design for manufacturing.\nInitiative, creativity and great attention to detail\nWhat's in it for you\nWe want you to bring your full self to work-your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
