Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI_Hybrid\nThis role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nParticipate in and support R&D development activities for new applications, features, and products within the Pulp & Paper domain. \nContribute to the design, development, testing, validation, and release of new software applications and automation libraries.· Lead the development and maintenance of high-quality System 800xA and Pulp & Paper application libraries. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver automation solutions. \nDeliver technical support and training to customers utilizing ABB solutions in the Pulp & Paper industry. \nAbility to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage time effectively.\n Qualifications for the role\n7+ years of experience in engineering and commissioning of System 800xA Automation Pulp & Paper projects, or any other process industries.\nB. Tech (Electrical & Electronics Engineering).\nStrong knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and industrial network architecture.\nShould be conversant with at -least one of the automation systems of ABB (800xA system, AC800 M series controllers, AC450 series Controllers) /Siemens/Honeywell/Rockwell.\nexperience in System 800xA Library Development / any other Automation System library development and customization.\nStrong programming skills with IEC 61131-3 languages, including Structured Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Control Builder Diagram Editor.\nGood experience in integrating and troubleshooting industrial communication protocols, including: Modbus, OPC UA / OPC DA, Profibus / ProfiNet, Ethernet/IP\nKnowledge of any virtual machine environment (VMware, Hyper-V, Virtualization environments)\nGood understanding of industrial networking concepts, including: Network architecture design, Managed switches, routers, Firewall configuration and troubleshooting, Industrial Ethernet networks.\nMore about us:\nThe Process Industries Division serves the mining, minerals processing, metals, cement, pulp and paper, battery manufacturing, and food and beverage, as well as their associated service industries.
