Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nR&D Team Lead__\nYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team responsible for electrical testing on low-voltage circuit breakers and switchboards, contributing to both Research & Development (R&D) and certification processes. Operating on a two-shift daily schedule, your routine activities will include configuring transformers and variable loads to achieve the required test values, preparing the Device Under Test (DUT) by connecting it with appropriate cables and busbars, and executing the electrical tests while working collaboratively in a dedicated team.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the ABB Electrification Business area in particular for the Smart Power Division in Bergamo Main stakeholder the Research and Development Department and external customer.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nDefining the details, the test sequences, their methods of execution or testing procedures, the equipment and instrumentation to be used, with reference to the applicable standards, preparing the necessary test set-up, the required measure instruments, connecting the device under test on the testing plant and executing tests;\n\nAnalyzing the tests results according to the applicable standard for checking the compliance of the product tested.\n\nProducing and developing activities required for the processing of test reports for tested equipment, and issue the reports.\n\nProposing improvements in the existing test techniques, based on experience and use of new equipment, in particular for test and measurement equipment.\n\nAssisting and supporting customer during testing activities.\n\nQualifications for the role\nHigh School Diploma in the Electrotechnical field or Bachelor Degree (3 years) in a Electrical field.\n\nYou are highly skilled in Electrotechnical Knowledge\n\nAbility to demonstrate your manual skills, analysis capacity and interpretation of results\n\nYou are qualified in computer skills (Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to quickly adapt to proprietary software for recording test results)\n\nYou are passionate about precision, teamwork and have an high desire to learn and attitude for problem solving\n\nYou are at ease communicating in Italian and English language\n\nAvailability to work in rotating shifts\n\nCompensation Package\nAs part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:\nApplicable CBA: Metalmeccanico\n\nCompany defined package above minimum annual salary per CBA\n\nVariable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus\n\nThe offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.\nBenefits as per policy\nWellbeing support for employees and their families\n\nWelfare plan with a wide range of personalized services\n\nCanteen or meal vouchers provided\n\nMore about us\nABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
