Each day, you will optimize designs to meet updated standards and incorporate new products, components, and functionalities. You will also showcase your expertise by applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid\nThis role is contributing to the Robotics Automation Division (RA) - Robotics & Discrete Automation, Robotics Operations in Italy. Main stakeholders are Proposal & Sales Support Team, Project Management, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing & Supply Chain, Installation & Commissioning Teams, Customers and System Integrators.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nPerforming project peer-reviews, utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.\nCreating standard processes and tools to promote the reuse of technical solutions, innovation, and productivity in the design team.\nDeveloping work plans and cost estimates for the portfolio of projects.\nReviewing complete project documents for conformity, safety, cybersecurity, and quality assurance requirements.\nQualifications for the role\nYou are highly skilled in 3D mechanical design, machine design methodologies and engineering standards within the industrial automation and robotics market.\nYou have 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and machine design, preferably in robotic cells, automation systems or special-purpose machinery.\nPossess advanced knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD and PLM/PDM tools.\nYou are passionate about problem solving, teamwork, innovation and continuous improvement.\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.\nYou are at ease communicating in Italian and English.\nAvailability to travel occasionally for customer meetings and site activities.\nCompensation Package\nAs part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:\nApplicable CBA: Metalmeccanico\nMinimum annual salary: €48.000\nVariable Pay: Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus\nThe offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.\nBenefits as per policy\nFlexible working hours, hybrid work options, and a strong focus on work-life integration and Wellbeing support for employees and their families\nWelfare plan with a wide range of personalized services\nCanteen or meal vouchers provided\nJoin us.
