ABB wants to enlarge the team with someone who brings new technologies knowledge, to be prepared for next challenge of S/4 HANA transformation.\nYour Role and Responsibilities\nYou will own software solution architecture across multiple architecture categories and ensure its alignment with enterprise and data architecture standards. Also, you will be responsible for the design and build, integrity, and quality of an IS solution and associated IS services delivered to business.\n- Work model: #LI-Hybrid\nIn this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:\nDriving the organization from a technical perspective to be prepared to the S4 HANA migration\n\nDesigning and building SAP custom solutions.\n\nMaintaining the integrity and quality of SAP solutions and integrated IS services.\n\nCreating and maintaining the technical and architectural documentation of solutions.\n\nPerforming internal testing and supporting user testing when needed.\n\nDriving change within the ABB team by promoting new technologies and innovative solution design approaches.\n\nProactively supporting the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IS solutions and services.\n\nSupporting the Application Run Organization in incident and problem resolution when technical verification is required.\n\nUnderstanding business processes at a high level and providing expert advice.\n\nGuiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice without direct line responsibility. Coordinating with other functional and technical SAP consultants, as well as with other application SMEs, on integration solutions.\n\nQualifications for the Role\nBachelor's degree in computer science or a similar discipline.\n\nExperience of at least 10 years as SAP Solution Architect and ABAP language developer, better if in the same business sector of ABB.\n\nStrong SAP ABAP expertise, including object-oriented programming; familiarity with modern programming models (RAP, CAP) is a plus.\n\nSolid experience in SAP integrations, including IDOCs, BAPI, APIs, and web services, with basic functional knowledge of SAP modules (SD, MM, WM, PP).\n\nKnowledge of SAP S/4HANA and emerging technologies, including experience in migration projects and familiarity with SAP BTP and clean core principles.\n\nStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, build effective relationships, and work both independently and in cross-functional teams.\n\nProactive and analytical mindset, with curiosity for new technologies, problem-solving attitude, ability to challenge the status quo, prioritize under pressure, and adapt to changing environments.\n\nYou are at ease communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken\n\nAvailability to travel occasionally to Italian and European ABB locations\n\nCompensation Package\nAs part of our commitment to transparency, we want to share the compensation details for this position:\nApplicable CBA: Metalmeccanico\nMinimum annual salary: €61.000,00\nVariable Pay: AIP Target 15% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus\nThe offer will be tailored based on your role location, experience, skills and qualifications, internal market positioning and alignment with ABB internal standards.\nBenefits as per policy\nFlexible working hours, hybrid work options, and a strong focus on work-life integration and Wellbeing support for employees and their families\nWelfare plan with a wide range of personalized services\nCanteen or meal vouchers provided\nMore about us\nOur mission in ABB IS (Information Systems) is to harness the power of information technology to deliver valuable, reliable, and competitive IS services for ABB.
