Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nEL Technical & Design Promotion Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\nAs part of the ABB Smart Buildings and Smart Power divisions, the Segment Lead role is a strategic and technical leadership position responsible for driving growth and market presence of Low Voltage (LV) component solutions within the Data Centre and the Defence infrastructure sector nationally. This role requires a combination of commercial acumen, technical expertise, and relationship management capabilities to position ABB as a trusted, innovative partner across these strategically important sectors.\nThe work model for the role is: hybrid\nThis role is contributing to the ABB Smart Buildings and Smart Power divisions in Australia.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nDevelop and execute ABB’s go-to-market strategy for the Data Centre and Defence sectors, identifying target segments, analysing market trends, and driving growth aligned to business objectives.\nBuild and manage a high-quality sales pipeline through disciplined opportunity management, accurate forecasting, and strategic resource planning.\nEstablish and strengthen relationships with key customers, developers, investors, consultants, contractors, and channel partners to position ABB as the preferred solutions provider and secure project opportunities.\nCollaborate across internal teams and industry stakeholders to deliver compliant, customer-focused solutions, strengthen ABB’s market presence, and enhance brand leadership within the Data Centre and Defence ecosystems.\n\nQualifications for the role\nDeep knowledge of Low Voltage electrical systems and their application within Data Centre and Defence infrastructure environments.\n\nDemonstrated success in developing go-to-market strategies, driving business growth, and building sustainable revenue pipelines.\n\nStrong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and partnership-building skills across customers, partners, and internal teams.\n\nCommercially astute with the ability to balance short-term business objectives with long-term strategic market positioning.\n\nTertiary qualifications in Engineering or Business, ideally complemented by postgraduate studies, with a strong understanding of market trends, competition, and emerging technologies.\n\nCurrent NSW driver's licence and unrestricted Australian work rights, with the ability to collaborate effectively across organisational boundaries.\n\nMore about us\nABB Smart Power provides energy distribution solutions for data centers, industrial and manufacturing plants, critical infrastructure and commercial buildings.
