Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nSegment Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\nCreates, implements, and reviews industry segment strategy for the assigned area.\nLeads the process to define the industry group footprint that covers market presence, execution standards, and delivery model.\nDrives and ensures profitable growth by focusing on market penetration, innovation, and expansion activities.\nDefines key targets (e.g., volume, prices, portfolio mix) and ensures they are achieved for the assigned segment(s).\nEnsures proper business plans are in place and are executed by a market-oriented organization.\nDrives the revenue growth of the top line in each target industry segment.\nLeads and manages the segment team members and reinforces global sales efficiency and performance.\nBuilds relationships with key external influencers/key customers and leverages ABB’s strengths to capture new business opportunities.\nDrives and ensures knowledge sharing and cross-division and cross-country collaborations.\nActivates operation intelligence, benchmarking, and analysis to identify industry segment trends, practices, product gaps, competitor strategy, etc.\nEnsures ABB’s value proposition for the target segment is developed and well-communicated, both internally and externally.\nSupports Sales organizations to ensure they are positively perceived in the target segment(s)\nReinforces ABB’s visibility in the target segment(s) by strengthening external market segment communication, in coordination with the Marketing Communication team and by participating in dedicated customer events and segment trade fairs.\nFeeds back to the divisions on market developments and requirements.\nEnsures that the major accounts in the segments are identified and prioritized.\nMaps market requirements and opportunities to actions for ABB and coordinates with divisions, sales units, and other relevant teams to implement them.\nEnsures the team is well prepared and has the necessary internal support to pursue and manage large project contracts.\nLeads or participates in the negotiation of legal and commercial international frame agreements.\nIdentifies and manages risks related to market trends, contract agreements, and pricing across segments.\nUses standard reporting tools to accurately identify future opportunities and measure the segment-wise progress.\nPromotes and enables collaboration in the division, across divisions, business areas, and teams to maximize results for ABB.\nProvides guidance to the teams and seeks knowledge for their own development and coaching/mentoring of the teams.\nBuilds effective, competent, and high-performing teams.\nReviews organizational effectiveness and performs competence assessments and continuous skill upgrades.\nQualifications for the role\nBachelor's degree or above\nAbove 10 years of sales or BD experience in the industrial control industry \nFamiliar with industrial control products and industry information, including but not limited to frequency converters, servos, PLCs, etc\nMore than 5 years of team management experience\nFluent in English\nAble to accept frequent business trips\n More about us\nABB Drive Products serves the industries and infrastructure segments with world-class drives and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
