Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis Position reports to:\nEngineering ManagerYour role and responsibilities:\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to create, modify, and analyze the design of equipment, systems, or installations, including specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction. Each day, you will optimize designs to meet updated standards and incorporate new products, components, and functionalities. You will also showcase your design skills by applying design thinking or design best practices concepts in projects.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI - Onsite\nThis role is contributing to the Motion Traction Business in Bangalore.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nHardware Design and development of converters for railways applications, like Traction Converter, Auxiliary convertor, and Battery chargers.\nConceptualize new designs and translate concept into formal electronic design drawings.\nReview drawing/specifications and communicate requirements to vendors/ Customers.\nUnderstand and update all product Schematics and Other design documentation.\nProvide input and recommend changes to new and existing product designs.\nKnowledgeable and proficient in all Design Calculation and Simulations.\nQualifications for the role:\nRequires a Bachelor's / Master’s degree in electrical/Electronics/Power Electronics engineering with 8+ years of related work experience\nHave good experience in power electronics, traction converter, auxiliary converter, and railway applications.\nPower Engineering applied to Railway products with 4-5 years of experience.\nProficiency design software including MATLAB and E3 schematic etc.\nAble to perform and analyze results from simulations and Hand calculations.\nMore about us:\nABB Traction is a leader in traction technologies, driving innovation in rail and e-mobility.
