Here, your work creates impact you can see and feel, every day.\nYour Role and Responsibilities\nIn this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.\nWork Model Hybrid from our Leeds site (4 days per week on-site) with travel locally and internationally (up to 40%) to perform supplier visits and collaboration between other Emergency Lighting EMEA Procurement teams as required by business needs\nTakes full ownership and responsibility for Full Life cycle supply chain management\nExecutes purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.\nDesigns and implements plans and effective strategies for sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.\nSupports the EMEA Procurement Manager in implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements.\nDrives alignment between Business Line procurement activities and division Category Team and strategy.\nApplies and successfully implements procurement standards, tools, and processes in their own area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.\nTracks and drives the procurement processes and activities and creates and updates reports, as required, following the ABB standards.\nResolves issues related to procurement cost, quality, and delivery in their assigned area in a prompt manner.\nProactively implements Governance processes to track internal and supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), quality issues, and implements related development actions.\nExecutes and implements changes related to purchasing and logistics within their own area of responsibility.\nEnsures effective and transparent communication internally, externally, and between different units and centers.\nSupports and contributes to the achievement of Budget development.\nDevelops and drives cost reduction plans to meet Business goals.\nProactively manage supply base/number of suppliers for leverage and risk requirements.\nQualifications for the Role\nBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field and certification such as CIPS or working towards this.\nStrong procurement experience in manufacturing, specifically in plastics and electronics with the ability to execute Budget & Performance Management.\nExperience in developing and executing strategic plans to drive company growth and achieve long-term objectives.\nContract Management: Handle contract negotiations, drafting, and management to ensure compliance and favourable terms.\nStrong negotiation and communication skills with a proven background of supplier management.\nProficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.\nAbility to analyse data and make informed decisions.\nBenefits\nABB offers a full range of benefits to help you thrive at work and beyond.\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\nCompetitive contributory pension scheme\nLife assurance\nFlexible benefits scheme (Includes options to buy/sell holidays, health checks, dental, eye care, gym memberships, cycle to work, gadget discounts and more)\nInternal mobility opportunities, mentorships & access to projects globally\nEmployee Assistance Programme\nPrivate medical cover for yourself\nGenerous bonus scheme\nGenerous employee referral scheme\nFor the 5th consecutive year ABB UK has been recognised as a Top Employer in UK.
