Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nSenior Engineering Manager__\nYour Role and Responsibilities\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Engineering department of the Hydro and Ring Motor organization.\nYou will develop your expertise by calculating mechanically Hydro machines and Ring Motors, ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets.\nWork model: #LI-hybrid\nIn this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nPerforming analytical mechanical calculations of components and structures under the supervision of mechanical engineers.\nDeveloping and executing finite element analysis (FEA) models, including processing and interpreting the results.\nCollaborating in resolving technical queries and mechanical issues from the Projects, Service, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments.\nReviewing and updating technical documentation, calculation reports, specifications, and procedures.\nCollaboration in the technical monitoring of equipment manufacturing and assembly, analyzing potential deviations and proposing solutions.\nPreparation of technical reports and presentation of mechanical calculation and analysis results.\nParticipation in technical coordination meetings with multidisciplinary teams for project monitoring.\nCollaboration in the standardization of mechanical solutions and in generating lessons learned for the department.\nOur Team Dynamics\nOur teams support each other, collaborate, and never stop learning. Being part of our team means your work matters - because the progress we make here creates real impact out there.\nQualifications for the Role\nDegree in Mechanical Industrial Engineering.\nExperience in mechanical calculation related to electrical rotating machines.\nExperience in FEM analysis (Ansys or similar).\nExperience in 3D Design programs (Autodesk Inventor or similar) will be a plus.\nMindset to innovate, take ownership, drive improvement. High standards of integrity and transparency.\nHigh level of English (spoken and written).\nAdaptability to change and ability to adjust plans when needed.
