Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nR&D Unit Lead__\nAt ABB, we believe that the next generation of ships will be electric, digital and connected, as the industry moves towards new energy sources and autonomous ship operations.\nABB are now searching for an R&D Engineer/R&D Senior Engineer, in Marine & Ports division at Fornebu or Ulsteinvik, Norway to help us build the future of Marine Technology.\nElectric propulsion, AC or DC distribution, energy storage systems and new renewable energy sources for different vessel types are part of ABB’s offering to the marine industry.\nIn this position you will contribute to the development and maintain our marine electric power system solutions, with focus on DC distribution, energy storage solutions, and power electronic components within these systems.\nYour responsibilities:\nLead certain R&D activities within the above mentioned Projects\nSupport our delivery project organizations\nParticipate in defining the future technology strategy\nYou will participate in R&D projects related to development and maintenance of:\nIn house power electronic components.\nOnboard DC Grid solutions.\nEnergy storage solutions\nYour background:\nB.
