Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nTechnical Sales Support Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\nDevelop automation solutions (DCS, PLC, SCADA, SIS) in response to customer specifications and URDs\nDefine system architectures, I/O counts, network topologies, and redundancy concepts\nPrepare technical proposals, compliance matrices, and scope of supply documentation\nLead technical clarifications and value engineering during bid and negotiation phases\nSupport cost estimation, manhour planning, and resource allocation\nCoordinate with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Supply Chain through the bid lifecycle\nEngage with EPC contractors, OEMs, system integrators, and consultants\nEnsure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API, and project-specific standards\nAdvise on PMS, ECMS, cybersecurity, and remote operations requirements\nSupport technical handover from tendering to project execution\nStay current on automation trends: IEC 61850, BESS integration, cybersecurity, decarbonization\nQualifications for the role:\nDegree in Electrical / Instrumentation & Control/Mechanical / Chemical Engineering 6-10 years in technical sales support, proposal engineering, bid management (automation / ICSS) or Engineering.Experience in Power Plants, Water & Wastewater, Oil & Gas, Renewables or Petrochemical EPC projects\nHands-on knowledge of DCS, PLC, SCADA, and SIS platforms; ABB portfolio familiarity is a plus\nStrong skills in tender documentation, cost build-ups, and compliance matrices\nEffective communicator in cross-functional and multicultural environments\nFluent in Bahasa Malaysia; Japanese proficiency strongly preferred\nMore about us\nThe Energy Industries Division serves a wide range of industrial sectors, including hydrocarbons, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, power generation and water.
