Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Verification Engineer to join our team at ABB Oy, High Power division in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. Our team is responsible for verification of new frequency converters. We perform R&D and type tests for unreleased high-power, low and medium voltage drives in our world-class R&D laboratories.
The work model for the role is: On-site
Your responsibilities:
- Executing R&D and type tests for new frequency converters
- Building test setups, executing and reporting tests
- Supporting problem solving of frequency converter hardware and software related issues
- Working in close co-operation with different design teams, approval engineers and authorities
Your background:
- M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience in the testing of frequency converters, electrical installation, commissioning or industrial automation systems
- Knowledge of any of the following is considered an advantage:
- Frequency converter design and control
- PLCs and process automation
- EMC testing
- Product safety standards of frequency converters
- Capability and interest in training and coaching other people
- Good spoken and written skills in Finnish and English are necessary in this role
- Willingness for occasional travelling
- A proactive working attitude
