Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThe Service Manager, Procurement & Customs Compliance is responsible for ensuring the continuous supply of raw materials, components, and finished goods at the best total cost, while minimizing risks associated with the international supply chain.\nThe incumbent plays a key role in managing customs tariffs, international trade agreements, and cost-reduction programs related to imports and exports.\nThis role contributes to the Electrification, Smart Buildings (ELSB) division of ABB Canada and is located in Dorval.\nThe work model is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week at the office.\nResponsibilities\n1- Strategic Procurement & Customs Tariffs\nDevelop and implement the procurement strategy in alignment with business objectives.\nNegotiate framework agreements, commercial terms, and service agreements with suppliers.\nIdentify and qualify new local and international suppliers.\nLead cost-reduction and continuous-improvement initiatives.\nManage supplier-related risks and ensure continuity of supply.\nMonitor supplier performance using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).\nEnsure compliance with Canadian, U.S., and international customs regulations.\nOversee tariff classification of imported and exported products.\nAnalyze the impact of customs duties, surtaxes, countervailing tariffs, and protectionist trade measures on procurement costs.\n2- Team Management\nLead, engage, and develop the Procurement and Supply teams.\nEstablish annual objectives and monitor performance.\nFoster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.\nDevelop team capabilities in negotiation, customs compliance, and supply chain management.\n3- Financial Management\nDevelop and manage departmental budgets.\nAnalyze cost variances and implement corrective action plans.\nTrack savings generated through procurement and logistics initiatives.\nPresent performance reports to management.\nQualifications\n1- Education\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field.\nMBA or relevant professional certification is considered an asset.\n2- Experience\n10 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain.\n5 years of people-management experience.\nSignificant experience in international trade and customs tariff management.\nExperience in a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environment.\n3- Technical Knowledge\nCanadian and U.S. customs regulations.\nTariff classification and rules of origin.\nInternational transportation management.\nERP systems, including SAP.\nData analysis and performance indicators.\n4- Key Competencies\nEngaging and effective leadership\nExcellent negotiation skills\nStrategic and financial mindset\nStrong analytical capabilities\nChange management\nCommunication and influencing skills\nRisk management\nComplex problem-solving\nResults orientation\nFluency in French and English.
