Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis Position reports to:\nEngineering ManagerIn this role, you will have the opportunity to design, engineering, testing and commissioning of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.\nThe work model for the role is: # LI Hybrid\nThis role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore / Pune, India.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nExperienced in the selection, specification, configuration, testing and maintenance of safety instrumented systems (SIS) following IEC 61508/ 61511.\nExperience in oil & gas, chemicals process knowledge, strong understanding of process units and business drivers.\nExperience and knowledge of instrument and control systems through design\nAbility to design and engineer SIS using safety requirements specifications, alarm specification, cause and effect diagrams, system block diagrams, logic narratives and function / logic block diagrams.\nProficient with SIS hardware design, system design, software design, application programming and HMI graphics development.\nProficient with SIS design including functional design specifications, response time calculations, test specifications and SIL verification calculations\nUtilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.\n Qualifications for the role:\nFull-time BE /B Tech (Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical).\n6 to 8 years of experience in SIS design, engineering, testing, commissioning and consulting experience of Control and Safety Systems in oil & gas production / refining / petrochemical / pharmaceutical industry.\nWorking knowledge of the Safety Lifecycle and participation in functional safety assessments.\nWorking knowledge of IEC61508 and IEC61511.\nProficiency in Safety System design, application programming, hardware design, and HMI graphics development.\nExperience in safety system hardware inspection, FAT, SAT, loop checks, start-up and commissioning.\nThorough understanding of P&ID symbology and presentation techniques\nMust be willing to travel to customer sites for commissioning activities of SIS.\nMore about us :\nABB Energy Industries is enabling safe, smart and sustainable projects and operations for businesses across the oil, gas, chemicals, life sciences, power generation and water sectors.
