You will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for building enterprise-grade Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) software used by global industrial customers.\nThe role requires strong technical leadership combined with people management and delivery ownership. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Architects, Principal Engineers, Quality Engineering and DevOps teams to deliver secure, scalable, cloud-native software solutions while driving engineering excellence and continuous innovation.\nThe work model for the role is: Hybrid\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nLeading, mentoring and growing a team of software engineers while fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration and engineering excellence.\nRemaining technically hands-on through architecture reviews, code reviews, debugging, prototyping and selective software development activities.\nDriving delivery of cloud-native enterprise software using technologies such as .NET/C#, React, TypeScript, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, SQL Server, REST APIs and microservices.\nPartnering with Product Management and Architecture teams to translate product vision into scalable, high-quality software solutions.\nEstablishing engineering best practices covering software architecture, coding standards, testing, CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability and operational excellence.\nEnsuring secure software development through secure coding practices, vulnerability management, dependency scanning and deployment governance.\nDriving engineering productivity by promoting AI-assisted development tools, automation, modern engineering practices and continuous improvement initiatives.\nManaging sprint planning, release planning, delivery tracking, risk management and engineering KPIs to ensure predictable and high-quality software releases.\nCollaborating with cross-functional teams including Quality Engineering, DevOps, Security and Product Management to deliver customer-focused solutions.\nCoaching engineers on technical growth, career development, full-stack engineering capabilities and cloud-native software development.\nQualifications for the role\n12-15 years of professional software engineering experience with strong hands-on development expertise.\nMinimum 5 years of experience managing or leading software engineering teams.\nStrong experience developing enterprise software using modern backend technologies such as .NET/C#, Java or equivalent, with exposure to React and TypeScript.\nHands-on experience building cloud-native applications using Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, microservices and distributed systems.\nStrong understanding of software architecture, API design, event-driven systems, scalability, reliability and modern engineering practices.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, automated testing and software release management.\nKnowledge of secure software engineering practices including secure coding, authentication, authorization and vulnerability management.\nExcellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.\nPreferred experience in Industrial Automation, Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), MES, SCADA, Industrial IoT or similar enterprise platforms.\nExposure to technologies such as OPC UA, MQTT, time-series data, AI-enabled engineering practices and Agile/SAFe methodologies will be an advantage.\nMore about us\nABB is a leading global technology company that energizes the transformation of society and industry to achieve a more productive, sustainable future.
