Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nService Manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nWorking with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.\nPerforming field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.\nPreparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.\nActing as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.\nQualifications for the role\nPrevious solar experience preferred. 3+ years Solar Technician experience preferred. \nExperience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting PV systems preferred. \nExperience installing all types of grid-tier inverters and be able to work with various ground and roof mount racking systems preferred.\nExperience in PV Component performance and HALT testing preferred\nFamiliarity with electrical plans and field layouts\nPV System site inspection experience\nElectrical knowledge/training preferred.\nMust have understanding of NEC codes that relate to PV installations.\nWill be travelling to different job sites to perform job. Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time (mainly in California and Texas). \nMust have good prioritization, organization, analytical and planning skills \nExcellent communication and customer service skills\nMust be flexible, be able to adapt to new situations, have self-control and have high integrity. \nMust have Self-Control, be self-motivated and have initiative.\nMust be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs, lift 60 pounds, and able to work on your feet for long periods of time\nBending, stooping, crawling, working in limited illumination areas, working in dusty conditions are required\nAbility to work in extreme environments, e.g. hot sun, below freezing, crawl spaces, etc.\nBuilding a cleaner, smarter future takes all kinds of minds: the curious, the courageous, and the creative.
