In this role you will be primarily responsible for End-to-End Fixed Assets Accounting & Reporting and Internal Audit and Process Improvements and automation Process as team leader focused on the complete, accurate, and timely completion of Fixed Assets & Reporting and related activities within the General Accounting (GA) team. Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements with strong understanding of USGAP and FA Module.\nFixed Asset Accounting Operations\nManage end-to-end fixed asset accounting processes.\nEnsure accurate capitalization, transfers, retirements, disposals, and depreciation of assets.\nReview and approve asset creation requests in compliance with accounting policies.\nMaintain the fixed asset register and ensure completeness and accuracy.\nMonitor Construction-in-Progress (CIP) accounting and capitalization activities.\nFinancial Reporting & Month-End Close\nExecute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end fixed asset close activities.\nReview depreciation runs and accounting entries.\nPrepare and validate fixed asset reconciliations between subledger and general ledger.\nSupport financial statement disclosures related to Property, Plant & Equipment (PP&E).\nAnalyze asset balances and investigate significant movements.\nCompliance & Internal Controls\nEnsure compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, local statutory requirements, and company accounting policies.\nMaintain SOX/internal control documentation and evidence.\nIdentify control gaps and implement corrective actions.\nSupport internal and external audits through timely preparation of schedules and explanations.\nAsset Lifecycle Management\nGovern the complete asset lifecycle from acquisition to disposal.\nEnsure appropriate asset classification and useful life assignment.\nReview impairment assessments and asset write-offs.\nMonitor leased assets and right-of-use assets where applicable.\nReconciliation & Data Quality\nPerform periodic asset register reviews and reconciliations.\nResolve discrepancies between procurement, project accounting, and fixed assets records.\nEnsure asset master data accuracy and integrity.\nDevelop and track key performance metrics related to fixed asset processes.\nReporting & Analytics\nPrepare management reports on capital expenditures, depreciation, asset additions, and disposals.\nSupport budgeting and forecasting activities related to fixed assets.\nProvide insights into capital investment trends and asset utilization.\nDevelop dashboards and report solutions for stakeholders.\nStakeholder Management\nAct as the primary point of contact for fixed asset-related queries.\nPartner with Finance, Procurement, Tax, Controllership, and Business Operations teams.\nCoordinate with external auditors, statutory auditors, and tax advisors.\nProvide guidance on fixed asset accounting treatments and policy interpretations.\nProcess Improvement & Automation\nIdentify and drive process improvement initiatives.\nLead standardization and harmonization of fixed asset processes across entities.\nSupport system implementations, upgrades, and testing activities (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, TRIRIGA).\nPromote automation opportunities to improve efficiency and control.\nSME Governance Responsibilities\nServe as the functional expert for fixed asset accounting.\nDevelop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).\nDeliver training and knowledge-sharing sessions to team members.\nProvide guidance during transitions, migrations, and transformation projects.\nReview complex accounting transactions and determine appropriate treatment.\nKey Skills & Competencies:\nStrong knowledge of Fixed Assets Accounting, PP&E, Depreciation, Capitalization, and Asset Retirement.\nExperience with IFRS, US GAAP, and internal controls.\nERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle,).\nAdvanced Excel and reporting skills.\nAnalytical problem-solving and stakeholder management.\nAudit support and compliance expertise.\nA master’s degree in accounting, Finance or Commerce (MBA/Mcom) is must.\nMinimum 10to 12 years of experience in Fixed Assets Accounting and Record to Report GA.\nExperience leading teams in a shared service, GBS, or multinational environment.\nStrong knowledge of working in SAP & FA Module.\nMore about us\nABB Finance is a trusted partner to the business and a world-class team who deliver forward-looking insights that drive sustainable long-term results and operate with the highest standards\nWe look forward to receiving your application (documents submitted in English are appreciated).
