Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis Position reports to:\nSales Director- Maharashtra & Southeast AsiaYour role and responsibilities\nIn this role, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process by adapting ABB’s products and solutions to meet customer requirements and specifications. You will guide the selection of optimized products and technologies, prepare technical and commercial documentation, and act as a key technical resource for the assigned area. The role demands a mix of sales acumen, technical understanding, and customer engagement.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI- Hybrid\nThis role is contributing to the Machine Automation Division -B&R in Pune region in India. Main stakeholders are Sales, Customers, Engineering, Product Management, Technical Support, and Channel Partners.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nAssess customer requirements and recommend optimal B&R automation, machine control, and connectivity solutions.\n\nSupport business growth through technical presentations, product demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements.\n\nServe as a trusted technical advisor, providing experience in automation, motion control, advanced technologies, and software solutions.\n\nCollaborate with sales, engineering, application, and product teams to develop customer-focused solutions and proposals.\n\nProvide technical support, customer training, and partner enablement while identifying new business opportunities and supporting market expansion.\n\nQualifications for the role:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field).\n\n8-12 years of experience in industrial automation environments, with deep knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, Drives, Motion Control, Servo Systems, and Mechatronics solutions.\n\nPractical experience in machine study, automation application development, and designing automation architectures to meet customer and industry requirements.\n\nExperience in servo sizing, motor sizing, digital simulation, and developing optimized motion control solutions.\n\nIndustry experience in Printing, Packaging, Plastics, Pharma, and Life Sciences sectors, with a solid understanding of machine functionalities and automation solutions.\n\nExperience in Business Development and Application Engineering, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical business solutions and support growth initiatives.\n\nStrong communication, customer engagement, and relationship management skills, with willingness to travel; fluency in English is required, and knowledge of an additional regional language is an advantage.\n\nMore about us:\nB&R Industrial Automation is a manufacturer of automation technology and ABB's global center for machine and factory automation.
