Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nSupport Services Manager__\nIn this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. Each day, you will execute technical support, act as a specialist, and solve problems in your area of expertise. You will also showcase your expertise by communicating both with the customer and ABB internal teams proactively to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities are utilized for service growth.\nThe work model for the role is: Remote, however the ideal candidate will live within a commutable distance to Richmond, VA.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvides technical support and solves problems on UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems) via remote or on-site service in any service category (installation and commissioning; maintenance; repairs; engineering and consulting; advanced services; extensions, upgrades, and retrofits; end-of-life services, replacements, etc.\nProvides technical consulting on Service solutions to management, factory quality, and customers. Provides recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service.\nManages customer relationships and maintains regular contact with key customers.\nComplete/Concise/Accurate documentation of customer interactions and case management in a timely manner. \nCreate/modify documentation to meet business/customer needs for documentation such as Procedures and Methods of Procedure.\nWorks to reduce cost and improves the quality of delivery of service and projects.\nParticipates in 24 X 7 On-Call Rotation for after-hours Technical Support.\nTravel to site up to 20% to assist in site escalations and training opportunities.\nParticipate /Assist in training courses. This will be in both student and trainer situations.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering Technology with 1+ years of work experience servicing critical power equipment; Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with 3+ years’ experience in servicing critical power equipment; or 5+ years equivalent work/military experience servicing critical power equipment.\n UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems) or Critical Power Equipment experience is REQUIRED.\nNETA Certification is preferred.\nNICET Certification is a plus.\nCompTIA Certification is desirable.\nElectrical License would be an advantage.\nCandidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.\nWhat's in it for you\nWe want you to bring your full self to work-your ideas, your energy, your ambition.
