Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis Position reports to:\nPrincipal EngineerYour role and responsibilities :\nIn this role, you will be responsible for defining, leading, and continuously improving the overall testing and quality assurance strategy for the product. You will ensure that testing activities are effectively planned, coordinated, and executed throughout the software development lifecycle, enabling the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and secure software.\nYou will work closely with Product Management, Product Owners, Architects, Developers, Support teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality is built into the product from the early stages of development through release and maintenance.\nAs Test Manager, you will provide technical leadership to the testing team, drive test automation and continuous testing practices, establish measurable quality objectives, and provide clear visibility into product quality and release readiness.\nThe work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid\nThis role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Process Control Platform division based in Bangalore, India\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\n\nDefining and maintaining the overall test strategy, test plans, quality objectives, and testing processes for the product.\nPlanning and coordinating testing activities across product releases, including functional, integration, system, regression, performance, reliability, and other relevant testing.\nDriving the adoption and continuous improvement of test automation to improve test coverage, efficiency, and release confidence.\nPromoting shift-left and continuous testing practices, ensuring quality considerations are incorporated early in the development lifecycle.\nWorking closely with development teams to ensure appropriate coverage at different test levels and effective integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.\n Qualifications for the role :\nDiploma / Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) with 8+ years of experience in Industrial automation domain with exposure to DCS/SCADA systems (e.g., 800xA, Symphony+ or similar) and Historian products (e.g. Ability History, 800xA History or similar)\nStrong expertise in software testing, quality assurance with demonstrated experience leading testing activities and/or teams.\nStrong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test management, test planning, defect management, and risk-based testing.\nStrong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working in Agile development environments.\nPractical experience with test automation, automation frameworks, and continuous testing.\nGood understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices and how testing is integrated into modern software delivery pipelines.\n More about us :\nABB is an international technology firm that supports the transformation of society and industry for a more productive, sustainable future.
