Join us and help run what runs the world.\nThis position reports to:\nDepartment manager__\nYour role and responsibilities\n We are looking for a Verification Lead at ABB Oy, High Power division in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki. You will have a key role in the verification and approval process of frequency converters developed in our R&D projects. Our team is responsible for verification measurements of new frequency converter series. We perform R&D and type tests for unreleased high-power drives in our world-class R&D laboratories.\nYou will be mainly accountable for:\nManaging verification activities in internal and external laboratories in R&D projects\nPlanning and executing R&D and type tests for new frequency converter series\nSupporting problem solving of frequency converter hardware and software related issues\nWorking in close co-operation with different design teams, approval engineers and authorities located in different countries\nQualifications for the role:\nProven experience in designing or testing frequency converters, and understanding their product safety standards\nKnowledge of any of the following are considered an advantage: ABB converters, requirements for the competence of testing laboratories, project management\nYou are keen on training and coaching internal colleagues\nYou are fluent in Finnish and English, both written and spoken\nWillingness for occasional travel.
