Quick start.\nThe context\nLong-term engagement with a large Japanese fintech. You join the team that builds and runs the internal back-office platform: the tools employees use every day to manage users, merchants and their data. The team works in English, the product is used by people across the company, and you own features end to end, from the backend service to the screen.\nWhat you'll do\nBuild and evolve backend services in Java 21 and Spring Boot 3, in a microservice architecture (BFF pattern)\nDevelop the frontend of the internal tools with Vue.js 3\nContribute to the parts of the codebase written in Kotlin\nWork with Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD and Jenkins to ship safely, with SonarQube quality gates on every PR\nOwn your features: talk with product managers and internal user s, clarify needs, follow them to production\nTake part in Scrum ceremonies, code reviews, unit, integration and regression testing\nWhat we're looking for (in order of priority)\nCurrently based in Japan (Tokyo area) with valid work authorization, no relocation or visa sponsorship from overseas for this role\nJava and Spring Boot: solid production experience, this is the first criterion\nVue.js (3 ideally), or real willingness to work on the frontend side\nKotlin: a plus\nDocker and CI/CD (Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Jenkins or similar): a plus\n5+ years of software engineering experience, autonomous, product mindset\nBusiness-level English.
