As a participant from Germany, you will begin the program with the first two rotations in Germany either in Wiesbaden or Neustadt, then you will complete your final-year rotation outside Europe.\nThis position is primarily based in Neustadt am Rübenberge and is also available at our Wiesbaden-Delkenheim location.\nAs a OPDP participant you will:\nBe a regular full-time employee of Abbott and qualify for the same competitive salary and benefits as other Abbott employees. \nAssume full responsibility and contribute as a functional operations professional. \nRotate through three challenging, demanding, and diverse 12 months assignments. \nDevelop a well-rounded skill set through assignments in the established learning tracks (see below) for the program. \nRelocate outside of Europe for the final assignment to experience diversity and operations. \nWork within multiple business units and/or manufacturing functions during your rotational program at Abbott. \nHave the opportunity to explore possible crossover assignments within other Operation Programs (i.e. Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operational Excellence). \nBe paired with a mentor to assist in the development of your operations career. \nReport to a department manager in each assignment who will oversee your day-to-day responsibilities. \nObtain training customized to support your individual growth and development. \nCreate a personalized growth plan to serve as a step-by-step guide towards the experiences, knowledge, and resources necessary to achieve your career goals \nOPDP rotation overview:\n 3 assignments (12 months each) in different division and/or in different functional areas. The first 2 rotations being in Germany and the last one outside of Europe. \nNo assignment is repeated; each is with a different Assignment Manager, \nOPDP participants starting the program in July 2027 will complete a three-year program with the final international (overseas) rotation ending in June 2030. \nRequirements:\nBachelor’s Degree/Master’s in Engineering (Automation / Mechanical / Electrical / Automation) Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Science, Supply Chain (Business Studies with major/minor Supply Chain) or related disciplines \nTracking to or have a minimum of 2.1 Grade in your undergraduate course with a track record of outstanding co-curricular activities \nInterest in pursuing a career in Operations - Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Operation Excellence etc. \nGeographically mobile and willing to complete a one-year assignment outside of Europe \nUnrestricted authorization to work in Germany \nFluent level of German and English for written and verbal business communication. \nKey Skills:\nAmbition for Leadership \nCapacity to apply skills and knowledge to address operational challenges and add value to the business. \nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills. \nStrong interpersonal, leadership & communication skills. \nEager to learn and has the flexibility and willingness to work on different projects. \nPrevious work experience in internship or co-op work experience would be an advantage \nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
