The role manages multiple cross-functional projects and workstreams, ensures disciplined execution, and engages stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and Business organizations to drive alignment, business readiness, benefits realization, and successful outcomes. The Project Manager also partners with Finance leadership to support the development and execution of strategic initiatives.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDevelop and execute project plans, budgets, milestones, and resource strategies to achieve business objectives and benefits realization.\nLead cross-functional stakeholders and third-party partners to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within approved budgets.\nManage project scope and clarify expectations to maintain alignment with approved business cases and strategic objectives.\nManage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation and contingency plans to support successful delivery.\nDrive process, technology, automation, analytics, and AI initiatives that improve Finance effectiveness and efficiency.\nProvide effective project governance through clear communications, change management, performance tracking, executive presentations, and steering committee reporting.\nTrack project achievements against objectives, milestones, benefits realization targets, and strategic outcomes.\nProactively identify challenges and improvement opportunities and develop recommendations to support project success.\nLead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional and virtual teams while maintaining stakeholder engagement and accountability.\nSupport business adoption activities and ensure appropriate change management discipline throughout project delivery\nEducation and Experience You’ll Bring\nRequired Qualifications\n· Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education\n· 5+ years of experience in Finance, FP&A, Project Management, Business Transformation, or Consulting, preferably within a multinational organization.\n· Proven track record leading large-scale cross-functional projects and strategic business initiatives while partnering with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.\n· Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management, with knowledge of analytics, automation and digital transformation concepts preferred.\n· Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and foster collaboration across Finance, BTS, and Business functions.\n· Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on commitments.\n· Analytical and results-oriented mindset with experience driving process improvements and solving complex business challenges.\n· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive successful project outcomes through collaboration and accountability.\nPosition accountability and scope:\n· Reports to the Senior Manager, Finance PMO and is accountable for the successful execution of strategic Finance initiatives that support Corporate Finance objectives.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPMP, Six Sigma Green Belt, or equivalent certification preferred.\nKnowledge of Technology, analytics, AI, automation and digital transformation preferred.\nMisc: This is an onsite role at Abbott location in IL This is not a remote role/opportunity.\nundefined\nundefined\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives:www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
