Works with end user to ensure proper usage and disposal. Provides guidance as necessary.\nDevelop and lead compliance training.\nReview and maintain SDS database and site chemical inventories.\nSupports EHS management in conducting reviews for facility modification, new product development, product modification and new equipment/machinery as directed.\nOn call for EHS emergencies (24/7).\nSupport ISO 14001 process and its maintenance.\nResponsible for assigned duties and tasks as defined by the Environmental Management System.\nWork under the direct supervision of the EHS Management, while independently working and solving day-to-day problems. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.\nSelects and applies environmental management principles, theories and concepts and uses independent judgment to develop and design imaginative, thorough and practical solutions to difficult environmental issues.\nSupports EHS management in the maintenance of the facility’s Emergency Response and Fire Plans.\nSupports site Safety Coordinators and Emergency Coordinator process and other duties as assigned. Inspect and procure emergency response and disaster preparedness materials and equipment and coordinate applicable training as needed.\nSupports EHS management in the gathering of data for the establishment of report metrics pertinent to EHS activities.\nSupport all initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements\nComplies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.\nMaintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nEducation Level\nBachelors Degree (± 16 years) In environmental studies, health sciences, or an equivalent academic field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience\nExperience/Background\n0-2 years of Environmental work experience.\nExperience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model is preferred.\nAbility to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.\nSolid leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.\nAbility to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.\nSolid verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.\nMulti-tasks prioritizes and meets deadlines in a timely manner.\nGood organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.\nAbility to travel approximately 20%, as needed.\nLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: www.abbottbenefits.com\nFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
